Swap & candy

Non so da dove cominciare! Dallo swap ricevuto, da quelli inviati o dal candy vinto? Allora, andiamo per ordine e cominciamo dal winter swap proposta da Shani. Io ero abbinata a Lilybets e dovevamo spedirci reciprocamente oggetti a tema inverno.

Ecco cosa ho ricevuto: una calzina natalosa e super invernale, con bordo in finta pellicia, un bracciale delizioso che è già al mio polso, un pò di cannella, uno strepitoso cuore color panna che ho già piazzato in camera da letto. C'era anche un torroncino che mio marito non mi ha dato nemmeno il tempo di fotografare! E il bigliettino è un amore.

I don't know how to start. Well, first of all the winter swap organized by Shani. My partner was Lilybets and we had to send each other items concerning the winter. I received: a lovely Christmas hose, a bracelet (already at my wrist), a small bar of cinnamon, a stunning heart that's at the door of the wardrobe in my bedroom, a very nice note and a chocolate bar that my hubby has already eaten!

Ecco il cuore. E' delizioso! Grazie mille Lilybets, mi piace tutto e sono stata contenta di essere abbinata a te!

Here's the heart, isn't it cute? Thanks a lot, Lilybets, I like everything and I'm very happy I was your swap partner!

E questo è quello che le ho mandato io: una presina comprata a Merano sulla quale ho ricamato una mela e scritto mele, a punto croce, una scopina scaccia guai da appendere dietro la porta di casa. Qui non si vede bene, ma i fiori della scopina hanno la brina, per rispettare il tema inverno.

This is what I've sent her: a pot holder I've bought in Merano and where I've cross stitched an apple, a little broom that's a sort of amulet to take the troubles away (I've made several of these this year). Here you cannot see that the flowers on the broom are frosted, to respect the winter's theme of the swap.

Le ho mandato anche dei biscotti tipici della mia zona, i biscotti regina, pasta frolla completamente ricoperta di sesamo, buonissimi.

I've also sent her some typical biscuits, short pastry completely covered with sesame: delicious!

Per l'handmade a tema inverno ero molto indecisa e quando ho visto in un negozio questa cornicetta molto shabby ho avuto una specie di folgorazione! Così ho ricamato un fiocco di neve su tela Aida ed eccolo qua!

As far as the winter handmade is concerned, I was very hesitant, so when I saw in a shop this little frame, very shabby, I've found my idea: a cross stitched snowflake! I love it, I'd like to make one for me.

Ed ecco il monile a tema inverno: un paio di orecchini con un ciuffo di finta pelliccia.

And here's a winter jewel: a pair of earrings with fun fur.

Questa foto vi mostra ciò che ho mandato alla mia abbinata Mamy 65 (lei non ha un blog) per lo swap "aiutiamoci a fare i mestieri" del forum Un arcobaleno di crocette. Una presina ricamata con le lumachine, uno strofinaccio pure ricamato a punto croce, tre ricette tipiche siciliane, tre mollette decorate e della cioccolata di Modica aromatizzata alla Carruba. Lei ha ricevuto e le è piaciuto tutto. 

In this picture you see what I've sent to Mamy 65 (no blog), my partner for the swap "let's do the housework" of the forum Cross stitches rainbow. A stitched pot holder with little snails, a cross stitched dishtowel, 3 typical sicilian recipes, 3 decorated pegs and some chocolate carob flavored. She's already got the swap and liked it.   

E infine la strepitosa notizia che ho vinto il candy di Anna !!!!!! Guardate che meraviglia che mi arriverà a casa. Anna.... fai attenzione ad imballarla con cura, ci tengo a che arrivi sana e salva!!!!!!! Grazie grazie!!

And now the wonderful new: I've won Anna's candy!!! Look at this stunning bottle she has decorated. Anna, please..... pack it carefully, I want it to arrive in one piece!
